This was an excellent tournament for three reasons:

1. It ran on time - the food was timely; we actually finished before I expected to be done. This was possible because of excellent planning on Mr. Queen's part.

2. The competition was pretty evenly matched. No team really crushed any others, and it was nice to have an event where there wasn't a gauntlet that any team had to run.

3. The hospitality was tremendous. Everyone was unfailingly polite, especially the readers and the other moderators.

If you're looking for a well-run, enjoyable, novice tournament as a tune up to start the academic season with, Chillicothe can absolutely meet those qualifications. I'm looking forward to coming back next year.

I've been told that I don't take compliments well, so I will just say thank you. I agree on the readers. Most of the positives can be traced directly to them.

And I am not sure it is planning so much as a deep, creeping dread of failure that doesn't let me rest.
