Clinton-Massie wants me to run something in November down there; I've let them know about Tipp's event.

Waverly will run on 147A the Saturday before MLK Jr. Day. Ironton will be on 148 the final Saturday of January.

Mason will be on Feb 20.

I want to run UFindlay's spring NAQT event again in March.

Weekday events will depend on my wife's work schedule.

Northmont will run Rowdy Raider on December 5th on an NAQT IS Set.

We will run our house write OAC, with a mirror in NE Ohio on January 16th. Greg, is there any way to run Waverly the weekend after? This has been our weekend for 17 years and with two mirror sites across the state, having a 3rd tournament on the same weekend seems like overkill when there is nothing on the weekend afterwards or the weekend before it.

We are writing a pyramidal OAC tournament for Little Miami again, that will likely go in mid-late November.

I'll check with the Waverly coach, but I don't think any team that went to Waverly either of the past two years had attended a Northmont tournament previously, aside from Olentangy Liberty. Also, I'm running a middle school tournament at Smithville the following Saturday.

Smithville's high school tournament will run on Dec 5 as well.

Yeah, but last year Olentangy dropped from my tournament after registering to go there which kind of ticked me off. Also, I would like to try and play all of the A sets this year since I will have a relatively inexperienced team, so we would probably play it if it didn't conflict.

October 31st is the traditional weekend that Golden Shamrock @ Fisher takes place on. I'm assuming it'll stick.

The St. Charles OAC tournament will be on November 14

Solon will also host an A set October 10th. This will be a team event; the individual event of the last several years is being changed to this for several reasons.

11.21.15 Give Thanks for Quizbowl will have an MSNCT 15 set for HS and MS set for a concurrent MS16 tournament. 1.9.16. Shateyahronya will be a GSAC mirror for HS and a SCOP MS for MS. We are also hosting NAQT MS state on 4.9.16.

The Case Western Reserve University Trivia Team will be hosting Rock and Roll Hall of Shame, a house-written high school trash tournament, on September 26th.

Do me a favor - the last time Case held a trash tournament, I wrote it for them and people assumed because I run the yearly one in December for the last 11 years, that I was affiliated...

Needless to say, it didn't go very well from a logistics/TD'ing standpoint and I got a ton of nasty emails from people who thought I was involved.

In your invite/email please tell them that this is completely unaffiliated from the tournament I run in December. I already sent one to my regular attendees telling them that we're separate tournaments BUT that I encourage them to attend both for a good time and to help the Case Trivia Club get back to where it used to be.

Drew, Steven and I will gladly give you advice towards how to make it run smoothly down there, since we held it there for 5 or so years and had to overcome some things, I just don't want them to think I'm part of running it or that it is a replacement for my December tournament.

Sure thing - that is definitely a good distinction to make, especially given the circumstances. We'll make sure people know that ours is completely house-written and house-run.
To that end, I would gladly accept any advice you all have for this tournament - I'm very grateful for people who have so much more experience than anyone else on our team could have at a 4-year college.

Drew and I can talk to you on Skype or Google Hangouts or something sometime soon and go over what we think you should do in terms of putting everything together. There's just a lot of little quirky things that you need to be OCD about when hosting at Case.

I would like to add October 17th for the second annual Cavalier Classic hosted at Chillicothe High School. It will be run on the SCOP set for this year.

The other tournaments on that day are not close geographically and have not traditionally drawn any teams from the area that this tournament is aimed at serving.

Golden Shamrock apparently is happening October 31st.

Hi all,

Pending room reservations, Kenyon College's quiz bowl club will be hosting a mirror of CALI (http://www.hsquizbowl.org/forums/viewto ... 09&t=17412) on Saturday, Oct. 31. Kenyon is roughly three hours from Cincinnati, two hours from Cleveland, and an hour and change from Columbus. We've had an active club for about four years now and are looking forward to hosting our first high school tournaments this year.

EDIT: Oct. 31 is now a more likely date for the tournament, as we don't wish to conflict with the collegiate Penn Bowl.

Is Ohio State running tournaments this year?

Tom according to Koh I think they are only running their Winter War on 1/30/16

Sue e-mailed me yesterday and had me take the Cory Salem tournament off of the OAC website - they are not going to be able to run it this year due to lack of registering teams.
