Solon Fall 2015

Postby pbergman » Sun Oct 11, 2015 9:59 am

Thanks to all for coming out. Congratulations to Copley, who beat a very strong Tippecanoe team twice in a row to claim the championship. Laurel Spangler from Tipp was the leading scorer by a healthy margin.

More detailed results and full stats will be posted later today.

Full Stats can be found here: http://www.hsquizbowl.org/db/tournaments/3111/

It looks like Copley, Tipp, Olmsted Falls, and Boardman will qualify for HSNCT, and Newbury should qualify for SSNCT. Congratulations!

Thanks for the stats and for the quick update.

I was worried that I was taking a three-legged horse to the Kentucky Derby, but it turned out those three legs worked out just fine.

Laurel is rounding into a two-dimensional player. I just need a science major to pair up and take the fourth chair alongside her.

I just fixed the stats: http://www.hsquizbowl.org/db/tournaments/3111/.

There were some issues with Boardman's individual scoring and I added divisions to the all rounds report.

There may be a few small things still out there.

Did Boardman v Brunswick go overtime? I noticed there were 23 tossups as opposed to 20...if so, was the overtime box checked and filled out correctly? That affects bonus conversion.

In that same game, Boardman's bonus points end in a 5...this happens in a lot (more than 12) of scores across the field. Was there a bonus that allowed a team to get 5 points per answer? Just asking, I haven't really looked at the set.

In the Brunswick Boardman game, I think one of the teams had an overtime neg, which SQBS - as far as I can tell - does not account for. That is why that game has a bonus score ending in 5.

As far as the others, I'll need to go in search of "undocumented" powers and negs. I'll see if we can get that cleaned up soon.

Thanks. Are you planning on editing the prelim stats as well? As of now, they're still showing the incorrect scores.

Bonus scores are fixed. Stats are "All Rounds" only for the time being.
