Battlebuzz, 2016

Is anyone interested in a potential resurrection of this great event?

If we have a host and people willing to show up, and a date that works for most people, I'd be down.

Assuming I am free, I would almost certainly play if it were in the Columbus area. I could possibly be talked into playing a Cleveland-area Battlebuzz if it were to occur up there.

I've never been involved with the event before, but I'm assuming it provides some kind of opportunity to embarrass myself at quizbowl...I'd be interested in playing or staffing if it were in Columbus or somewhere central.

At least in my experience, it's just a fun event where people in Ohio quizbowl come together, draft teams, and play a tournament, often with some side event/trash to finish off the day. It always felt like a good time - it's not meant to be too serious of an event.

It seems like the interest is decent-to-good so far.

What do we want to do? Do we want to play an academic set and then some trashhhhhhh, or do we want to do just trash? I myself am down to do trash, possibly guerilla style (no editing, no revision, questions are played as they are.)

What do others think?

We might be able to host but I need a date as the summer refinishing crews will be busy.

Before we determine what questions to use, we need to figure out whether anyone can actually host. Without a host it doesn't do us much good to discuss sets to potentially use. With that said, is there anyone (ideally in the Columbus area) other than Olentangy Liberty that can host? Once that is figured out, we can discuss specific weekends and questions.

Yeah I hear ya Steven, there probably should be an order of operations with the topic of questions being near the end. But I guess even before we talk about locations, we might need to figure out who all is interested in doing this?

Should we have a soft deadline of next Sunday for interest to be expressed? In terms of how many people makes the event (plural to indicate whether or not the event is feasible), what should the minimum number be? 12 people?
