Northmont Academic Challenge Tournament

Congratulations to Little Miami A, who captured the championship of today's Northmont Academic Challenge Tournament. Congratulations as well to Tiffin Columbian B, who posted a perfect 7-0 record to win the JV division.

We did a "Qualified" bracket in the prelims and then two additional brackets mostly with teams not yet qualified for OAC regionals. Walnut Hills A, Centerville A (newly qualified), and Fairfield A (newly qualified) won the prelim brackets. Centerville and Fairfield then joined the 6 qualified teams for a three round tournament, which saw Little Miami overcome their preliminary loss to Walnut Hills to knock them off in the final. In a "last chance" afternoon tournament, Lakota East prevailed over Springboro to capture the championship and an OAC bid.
