Protocol for Bonus(es) Lacking Answerlines

Postby Get Lynned » Sun Jan 07, 2018 4:48 pm

Yesterday there were a couple instances of a bonus three-part lacking an answerline for the third part. When these arised, I just skipped the bonus altogether and did the next bonus.

Is this the appropriate way to handle such?

I mean -- if there is a set protocol, then yes you handled it appropriately. Personally, if I knew for certain what the answer was, I would just read it and alert the TD/editor of the omission.

In both of the rounds that this happened to me, I still gave answers and the readers just looked them up to check. In each case, two different people in the room did this—the reader and the other team's coach in the first, the reader and the scorekeeper in the second. There was no objection from any of the other teams or their coaches.
