Recent Events Challenge, week of Sept. 28

Postby bdavery » Thu Sep 24, 2015 12:22 pm

Avery Enterprises announces our annual Fall Recent Events Challenge, which will take place during the week starting Mon. Sept. 28.

If you've played before, the rules haven't changed. We have 2 schools from Ohio signed up already in the HS division, as well as schools from 15 other states. The MS division has at least 1 school from Ohio--and schools from 6 other states.

If you've never actually played against 15 other states in the same tournament before, sign up today!

We had schools from 21 different states. The HS winner was West Chester East HS of PA. Of the OH schools that played, Dublin Jerome had the highest finish, in 10th place.

MS winner was South Forsyth MS of GA. Ohio's Lexington Junior High tied for 5th.

I hope Lexington Jr High tries out a quizbowl match that is played in a room. It's the preferred way of playing quizbowl in our state.

Is there a reason you're charging $100 for a "National History Bee" study guide, when anyone who wants to be prepared for National History Bee can just read a book or some other simple (free) resource and get the same result?
