When considering candidates for openings on the OAC Committee, strong preference will be given to those individuals who would bring representation of a new school to the current committee.

Will the OAC write clearer language on this, or give examples of what constitutes an applicant having enough linkage to a school that is already represented on the committee which would preclude them from said ‘strong preference?’

I think the vague language is partly my fault. I think it came about from a suggestion I made a few years ago. My suggestion was probably too extreme in retrospect, so the current wording was (I think) an attempt by the committee to moderate what I put forward.

I, personally, would be more than alright with revisiting it to be more specific. I would almost always prefer clarity over vagueness.

I could be wrong, but I am thinking it was the year the committee meeting was in the St. Charles library. I could be mistaken.
